I want to make my outside look like my "inside" - the face in the mirror doesn't match my self-image. Also, I want to set a healthy role model for my daughter.

I would like words of encouragement, and for the community to call me on my BS!! :)

That's the title of a book that takes a spiritual approach to weight loss. Your words struck a chord with me, "..my outside look like my inside.." Those words echo of a spiritual malaise, which can appear as a body you do not recognize or a life condition that does not compliment who you believe yourself to be.

"Inner awareness of unconditional love can make profound changes in a person's life."

Best Wishes.

You're starting in a good place, with a sustainable goal Lovida with wanting your outside to match your inside. Doing the work to get the inside to that beautiful and strong place is really the hard part!! Now you're on to the easy part. Matching the outside up! One thing I did awhile back was make a dreamboard/collage for myself for my ideal body. I realized I had to put images (all clipped from magazines and off the web) in the center of the collage that represented what was on the inside. Then I put images of ideal looking body parts all around that. For example, one of the inside me images was of a wild horse galloping which represented strength and then on the outside I had clipped images of strong arms and legs to match it. You know, the kind that really showcase the muscles! Anyhow, you may want to consider making your own dreamboard/collage since it's a great way to remind yourself every day of your goal in a very visual way. Good luck and come here when you need that motivation! We're happy to give it!
